Privacy, Simply Explained

Thunk was built for families. Your trust is our priority.

Our Promise

We collect only what we need to make Thunk work — and nothing more.

Thunk is designed to help families communicate faster, not to track, profile, or monetise your conversations.

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We do not show ads.
  • We do not listen unless you tap.

Voice & Microphone

Thunk only listens when you tap the microphone button.

  • No always-on listening
  • No background recording
  • Microphone permission is requested explicitly during onboarding

When you tap to speak, your voice is converted to text and processed to understand your request. Audio is not stored after processing.

What Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Name or display name
  • Email address (for login)
  • Family membership (who belongs to your family)

Conversation Data

  • Text transcripts of voice commands
  • Thunk responses and actions taken
  • Timestamps for conversation history

Conversation history helps Thunk provide context-aware responses and lets you review past interactions.

What We Use Data For

We use your data only to:

  • Process your voice commands
  • Route requests to Questy, Fuel, or other family apps
  • Provide conversation history
  • Improve reliability and accuracy

We do not:

  • Sell data to third parties
  • Use data for advertising
  • Train AI models on your private conversations

AI & Language Processing

Thunk uses AI to understand your requests and generate responses.

  • Voice is converted to text on-device or via secure API
  • Text is processed to understand intent and entities
  • Responses are generated based on your family context

We use trusted AI providers with enterprise-grade security. Your data is processed but not retained by these providers for training.

Thunk is designed for use by parents with their children.

  • Children cannot create accounts on their own
  • Parents control all family settings and permissions
  • Parents can view and delete conversation history
